This artwork represents a camp fire burning under a moon lit sky (kiyarn-ta wii). The golden ring resembles the light, heat and warmth and the coloured embers blowing around and crackling in the moonlight. Many stories, ceremonies and dance were shared around a fire and these traditions have been passed down through the generations. Fire is considered vital for survival as it is used for cooking, light, comfort, spirituality and burning off the land.
